Becoming a teacher can be such a deepening experience, start with self for 200-hrs and enjoy coming back home and learning the techniques of breathing, movement and meditation of the ancients.

The YTT at Yoga Wisdom emcompasses and embraces all styles of yoga, and giving a general hatha yoga foundation that can give rise to your own individual way of teaching.
It is a part-time course and classes are done weekly, 3-hr session during the week. This year will be Monday 09:00 - 12:00, and twice in three months a Thursday 09h00 - 12h00 for practical classes, as well as joining a group class once per week. Total of 6 hours private intuition during the year.

The course is run in Benoni, east of JHB, and runs for 12 months, Mid January – Mid December each year.
The course is created according to international standards of a 200-hr fundamental training for teachers. A comprehensive course including all facets of hatha yoga practice, asana, pranayama, relaxation, meditation and shatkarmas. A course to help you build confidence in your teaching skills and learning the basics of hatha yoga practice.
180 hrs completed with a senior teacher. The entire hours to be attended to secure your qualification as a teacher.

• The Trainee has a minimum of 2 years regular self-practice apart from attending public classes.
• Trainee completes at least 20 hours of regular classes with the Course Principal teacher.
• Trainer interviews the Trainee in person or if not feasible, remotely.
• The Trainee supplies a letter of recommendation from their principal teacher.
• The Trainer runs an open Assessment Day.
• A love for the practice and desire to share it with others.
• The whole course is to be attended to secure your qualification as a teacher.
